Luckie Food Lounge
I went there for a late lunch-around 2. The place is pretty big-and separated into different sections. There is a sushi section, a great bar area, big booths and private dining rooms.
It was pretty crowded for the hour. The American menu consists of apps, salads, burgers/sandwiches and entrees (a few steaks are on there). I believe the menu is the same for lunch and dinner. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an app-comparable to Houston’s. Then. we both got the turkey salad sandwhich. It came open on two huge, buttery pieces of bread. There was a lot of turkey meat–and also a lot of mayonaisse. We definitely could have split the sandwhich–because niether of us could eat the bread.
The waitress made sure we knew about the wonderful sides they offer. Fries can be substituted at any time. We decided to split fries and the reccomended asparagus. Both were enjoyed.
I usually order sushi-but I must complain about the setup by the bar. Behind the sushi chefs is a huge fish tank–that smells. For me, that immediately put sushi out of the question.
Next door is an adorable candy shop-that includes gelato. I took a sample of my favorite flavor-hazlenut and it did not dissapoint.
As I mentioned before-the bar has a great setup. Huge and comfortable bar stools (with backs) and about five large TVs in perfect view. Could be a great place to catch a game. There was also a roped off upstairs-where I imagine the “Lounge” comes into play. I would definitely like to go back and check out the dinner scene. The food was good enough to bring me back..
