Einstein’s

I had been wanting to go here for brunch for a while now. We tried to go a while back when it was nice out-and the wait was horrendous–almost two hours!

I ended up going with some girlfriends on Sunday. We had a short wait (even after calling ahead) for four–but nothing ridiculous.

They have a nice brunch menu-with lots of choices. We were quite happy with the bread served before our meal. It was a great zuchhini bread and another kind that tasted just like pound cake. Yum! We all split sweet potato fries, and then the table ordered a feta/spinach/mushroom omlette, a crabcake bennidict and a salmon scramble. Everyone enjoyed their meals-as most of the plates were completely cleared.

On this particular Sunday-the service was a little iffy. Our waiter was just really out of it. He said he was busy and would take a while to bring waters?! That was weird. He also brought our friend the wrong dish and asked her if she wanted more decaf in the meantime-but poured her regular, rung up the wrong dish for another friend, forgot to bring us pens–he was nice-he was just off..

We had a good time there-good food-just not my absoulte favorite brunch spot.
