Buckhead Diner
I went with a large group on Saturday morning for brunch–and was dissapointed to find out that they only serve brunch on Sunday. We had too many people to go somewhere else-so we just went with it.
The place is cool-the decoration perfectly fits with its name. It looks like an upscale diner. We got there as soon as it opened (11:00)-but midway through the meal the place was packed-mostly with familes. Although, I heard during the week-it is filled with business lunches.
The menu offered a few sandwiches, salads and some main entrees. Oddly enough, most of the second page was filled with desserts. It was definitely the biggest section on the menu.
I got a grilled portabello sandwich..the main part of the sandwich was the bread-which was good-but I hate filling myself only with bread. The dish also came with some homemade potato chips and a salad. It cost 9 bucks.
Out of 10 people-I don’t think anyone absolutely loved their meal. It was an average lunch. The service was good though-very polite and formal.
I believe the dinner menu is completely different–so that is always another option for a trip to this spot in Buckhead on Piedmont.
One Response to “Buckhead Diner”
Love Buckhead Diner for brunch…not a big fan for lunch or dinner. It’s a great place to do a casual yet classy business lunch, but nothing special about the food. Dinner menu is nice, but wouldn’t rank it highly compared to other Buckhead restaurants.
It is one of the better places for Sunday brunch with a group of friends.
