Aiko
I (Jenny) had few friends in town, and wanted to go to a fun place before going out on Friday night. Someone had suggested Aiko-so we decided to check it out. It was somewhat of an issue to get reservations because no one picked up the phone all day and night on Thursday. We finally got a hold of them on Friday afternoon and got a reservation for a large group at 8:30.
When I arrived, a little late at 8:45, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The place looks cool though. It has a big space in the middle to dance as it turns into a club at night. They even gave us wrist bands to get back in after we were done with dinner.
The menu was fairly priced. They did have rolls on the menu for around $6, and their specialty rolls were a little over $10. I shared a Seven Sins roll (which was essentially a spicy tuna roll) and a Mr. Roboto roll-which had baked salmon and was fabulous! We enjoyed both rolls. Everyone commented that the Seven Sins was particularly spicy.
The service was fine-nothing spectacular. Although she did split up the bill for everyone-so that was great.
It would have been fun to see the place turn into a club-but I guess that happens later in the night. We left around 12. After checking out their website-I found they have great happy hour deals! Everynight from 5:30-7:30–the most expensive roll on the menu is $4! Even the salads are on sale-for $2!
