Nikiemotos

We easily got a reservation for Saturday night at 8-as we called at like 5. But..the place did have a steady stream until we left around 9.

The menu includes sushi as well as cooked dishes-like stir fry etc-but we only paid attention to the sushi section.

None of their specialty rolls stuck out at us–so we decided to go with four basic rolls. We both really enjoyed the spicy tuna–the spice came from the fish instead of drowning the fish with a spicy mayonnaise sauce. We also got a tuna roll, eel and avocado and spider (fried crabmeat). We actually did not like the eel roll-it was too smushy and the sauce tasted off. The others were standard..

The price was right for the rolls-all around $6. The specialty rolls were around $11. I got one of their featured martinis for $9-which was kinda a waste since there was not a lot of alcohol in there.

The decor was cool-very modern looking. The scene was the perfect midtown mix. But all things considered-we probably won’t be heading back anytime soon–except maybe for lunch. They have a great lunch menu–the sushi costs $1!
