Dolce
So we went to Dolce with Mitchell’s parents before we went to catch Cirque Du Soleil at Atlantic Station. As you walk in you realize that you really are in an LA type of place. Stylish, chic, and very trendy were our first impressions. The décor definitely sets up the opportunity for the food to pale in comparison to the setting, but here it definitely did not.
We started our order with a lot of appetizers including calamari, tuna tartar and Caesar salad. All were delicious, but especially the calamari. The Caesar salad had an interesting twist with soft, warm freshly made croutons.
For dinner the best meal on the table was Mom’s bass. It was extremely tasty and a hit across the table, except for Mitchell because he’s anti-fish. Mitchell got the veal sambucca, Jenny got the salmon (it was a special), Dad got the lamb Wellington and Matthew ordered the ahi tuna. All dishes were extremely good and you could go with any of them and be completely satisfied just depending on your mood and taste buds on a given night. For desert we went with a chocolate cake which was extremely satisfying for you chocolate lovers and we also got their specialty ice cream sundae that was incredible.
We have to mention the service that we had at Dolce. It was extremely good. We went into the place not sure of what we wanted or what to expect and our waiter made us completely excited and prepared for the experience. He was very informative and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. He made our dining experience that much better. For the price of the meal, the service better have been spectacular, and it was.
Overall, great experience in a cool place with solid food and a great wait staff. The bar looked cool with a good looking crowd, but we didn’t experience it the way it should be done. We’ll get back to you on that one.

This is definitely a trendy place. I have been twice and was pleased with both the service and the food. It is pricey but it is definitely worth what you have to pay. The appetizers really give everyone dining a prelude to what to expect with the entrees. And the deserts are to die for and really wrap up a great meal. It reminds me of a place that you would find on the west coast. The atmosphere is awesome also. The chicken parm. is also a great dish if you want some italian, but if you like a lot of sauce you may want to ask for extra sauce on the side. A great place to take a date. I would recommend this place to anyone.
